Principal Ellis

Hello, warrior families,

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the Spring weather! The 3rd quarter progress reporting period ends Friday, May 3rd, and your child’s progress report will go home the week of May 6th. Please review your child’s progress and encourage your child to set goals for improvement before the end of the 4th quarter on June 6th. Students should not have any grades of D or F and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.

Please join us for our Multicultural Fair on Tuesday, April 16th from 3:30-6:00 pm. We will have an array of food trucks, games, face painting, bounce houses, and entertainment to include student performances. Wristbands can be purchased for all events at the fair for $10.00. Our next Parent Coffee Hour will also be on April 16th from 9:30-10:30 am, and the topics will be the Fresno State Bulldog Bound Program and Summer School.

Our SBAC State Testing window is underway and ELA testing started on April 9th and will end on April 19th. Math State SBAC Testing will be May 6-9th. It is important not to schedule any appointments during this time, so your child is present each day of State Testing. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep, eats a good breakfast, and comes to school on time each day for testing. Students who are at school every day of state testing and working hard will earn a movie day field trip to Maya Cinemas. Our eligible 7th-grade students will attend the movie field trip on May 28th and eligible 8th-grade students will attend on May 29th. We will be providing admission tickets to the movie and a snack tray with beverage. Students can also earn daily prizes each day of testing such as sports equipment, goodie bags, and Scan Swag to include shirts, backpacks, and water bottles. Please encourage your child to attend school each day of testing and give their best effort.

Scandinavian will be having our Summer School Academy from June 10-June 28th. Our incoming 7th-grade students and current 7th-grade students are invited to attend. Please call our office for more information on how to enroll your child.

Lastly, make sure you visit our school website weekly for important information. You can also follow us on Instagram @scanwarriorsofficial. Thank you for your continued support and Go Warriors!

Sincerely,

Julie Ellis, Principal
