Hello Warrior Families:

I hope everyone is doing well! The fourth quarter progress reporting period ended on Friday, May 1^st. Progress Reports were sent home on Tuesday, May 5th. Please review your child’s progress and encourage your child to set goals for improvement prior to the end of the fourth quarter on June 12th. Students should not have any grades of D or F and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5.  Students must have a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for Fall Sports next school year.

Our Annual Multicultural Fair is May 12^th from 3:00 pm-5:30 pm Come and join us as there will be a variety of food options, games, performances and more. 

Our SBAC State Testing is ending May 15^th. Students who were at school every day for state testing and working hard will earn a movie day field trip. Our eligible 7^th Grade students will attend the movie fieldtrip on May 27^th, and eligible eighth grade students will attend on May 29^th. We will be providing admission tickets to the movie and a snack tray with beverage. Our last Parent Engagement Coffee Hour is on Thursday, May 28th from 9:30-10:30 am, and the topic will be Mental Health Awareness.

We will be celebrating the seventh and eighth-grade academic awards on June 11th, and you will be notified if your child receives an award. This is also the last day of school and dismissal will be at 12:04 pm with a grab and go lunch.

I also want to share with you that this will be my final year as principal, and I will be retiring at the end of the school year. My journey in education has been over the span of 42 years including 18 years serving as Principal here at Scandinavian. It has been a true privilege to serve this school community and to work alongside such dedicated educators, supportive families, and inspiring students.

I am proud of what we have accomplished together and confident that the school will continue to thrive. Thank you for your trust, partnership, and unwavering support. You will be meeting your new Principal Carmela Teran very soon.
